David P. Maxwell

Mr Maxwell is a leading oil and gas industry executive with more than 25 years in senior executive roles with companies such as BG Group, Woodside Petroleum Limited and Santos Limited.
As Senior Vice President at QGC - a BG Group business – Mr Maxwell was responsible for all commercial, exploration, business development, strategy and marketing activities. He led BG Group’s entry into Australia, its involvement in the alliance with Queensland Gas Company Limited and its subsequent takeover by BG Group.
Mr Maxwell was previously director of gas and marketing with Woodside in Perth and a member of Woodside’s executive committee.
Mr Maxwell has served on a number of industry association boards, government advisory groups and public company boards as been a recipient of the Australian Gas Association Silver Flame Award for his contribution to the gas industry.
Hector M. Gordon
Executive Director - Exploration & Production

Mr Gordon is a very successful geologist with over 35 years experience in the petroleum industry. Mr Gordon was previously Managing Director Somerton Energy until it was acquired by Cooper in 2012. Previously he was an Executive Director with Beach Energy Limited where he was employed for more than 16 years. In this time Beach Energy experienced significant growth and Mr Gordon held a number of roles including Exploration Manager, Chief Operating Officer and, ultimately, Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Gordon’s previous employers also include Santos Limited, AGL Petroleum, TMOC Resources, Esso Australia and Delhi Petroleum Pty Ltd.
Mr Gordon is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Jason de Ross
Chief Financial Officer

Mr de Ross has over 20 years finance, treasury, strategy and commercial management experience mostly in the construction, agribusiness and resources sectors. Prior to joining Cooper Energy as CFO he was employed by OZ Minerals as Group Manager Commercial Operations with responsibility for accounting, planning & analysis, business improvement, procurement and contract management. Mr de Ross was previously Group Commercial Manager and Treasurer with the Futuris/Elders Group where he was responsible for many successfully debt and equity market transactions and served on a number of Boards and Committees.
Alison Evans
Company Secretary & Legal Counsel

Ms Evans is an experienced company secretary and corporate legal counsel with extensive knowledge of corporate and commercial law in the resources and energy sectors.
Ms Evans has held Company Secretary and Legal Counsel roles at a number of minerals and energy companies including Centrex Metals, GTL Energy and AGL.
Ms Evans' public company experience is supported by her work at leading corporate law firms.
Andrew Thomas
Exploration Manager

Mr Thomas is a successful and experienced geoscientist who has been involved with Australian and International oil and gas exploration and development projects for over 23 years. His previous employers include Geoscience Australia, Santos, Gulf Canada and Newfield Exploration. Mr Thomas has experience in a wide range of onshore and offshore basins in Australia, Asia and Africa. Prior to joining Cooper Energy he was employed by Newfield Exploration in the roles of SE Asia New Ventures Manager and Exploration Manager for offshore Sarawak. Mr Thomas was a key person in the team that successfully negotiated Newfield's entry into Malaysia where it currently operates over 70,000 bpd oil production. Through the efforts of the teams he led, Newfield has added a further four new PSC's to the Malaysia portfolio and made several significant oil and gas discoveries.
Pedro Nemalceff
General Manager - Indonesia

Mr Nemalceff has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the areas of Finance, Commercial, Operations and Management. His career includes operating in Ecuador, USA, Argentina, Bolivia and Indonesia and he has worked previously for Maxus Energy, YPF, Repsol, and Ellipse Energy. Mr Nemalceff has been in Indonesia since 2000 which allows him to contribute to Cooper Energy with his vast network and expertise in operating in the country.
Nawfel Ghariani
General Manager - Tunisia
B.Sc Geology, M.Sc Geophysics
Mr Ghariani has 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in Tunisia. Mr Ghariani was recently Oil Search's General Manager in Tunisia. Prior to this he was the General Manager of Atlas Petroleum Exploration Worldwide (APEX) in Tunisia. Mr Ghariani also has significant experience with ETAP. Mr Ghariani's primary responsibility is to manage Cooper Energy's activities in Tunisia.
