Mr Laurie Shervington is the group head and partner of law firm Minter Ellison's Perth corporate advisory group. He has over 35 years specialist commercial and corporate law experience.
He is a member of the legal sub-committee of the Companies and Markets Advisory Committee (CAMAC) to the federal government and was the inaugural general counsel of ASIC's Western Australian regional office.

Michael Scott

Mr Scott is a Petroleum Engineer by profession with over 20 years experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry. During his career he has worked for Woodside Petroleum, Esso Australia, Esso UK and Texaco.
Mr Scott has experience and knowledge in the oil and gas industry from the UK, North America, Africa, Middle East, South America and Australasia. Mr Scott brings a wealth of petroleum exploration, development, production and business development experience to the Board of Cooper Energy.

Gregory G. Hancock

Mr Greg Hancock is a founding shareholder and executive director of Cooper Energy and is involved in the corporate management of the company on a daily basis. He chairs the Corporate Governance sub-committee.
He is an immediate past member of the Companies and Markets Advisory Committee which advises the Federal Treasurer on Corporations law in Australia and is a non-executive director of Ausquest Ltd, a listed Gold and Nickel explorer.

Stephen H. Abbott
Non-Executive Director

Mr Abbott is a Consultant with Abbott Business Consultants and specialises in forensic accounting. He has had over forty years experience in taxation, accounting and management of small and medium sized enterprises.
Mr Abbott is past board member of the Small Business Development Corporation of Western Australia and past member of the State Council of the Western Australian Division of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
He was also a member of the WA Divisional Council of CPA Australia for ten years and served as President of the WA Division in 1988/1989. Mr Abbott is a member of the Governing Council of Edith Cowan University, Chair of their Resources Committee and is the Pro Chancellor of ECU.

Christopher R. Porter
Non-Executive Director

Mr Chris Porter is a geologist with 43 years experience in the petroleum industry. He has worked internationally with companies including Australian Aquitaine, Phillips Petroleum, WMC and Santos Limited. He consulted independently from late 1970 to early 1975, major clients being the Cooper Basin Consortium, Woodside and AOG.
He initiated WMC's Oil / Gas section in early 1975, resigning as General Manager in late 1988 having established reserves in the Cooper Basin and production in offshore WA, and offices in Adelaide, Perth and Houston. He joined Santos Limited in early 1989 as Manager - Technical Services and left that position in July 2000 to pursue a career in consulting.
He has lectured at the Australian Mineral Foundation and Adelaide University and is currently Chairman of the Geoscience Advisory Committee at the Australian School of Petroleum, Adelaide University.

Ian Gregory
Company Secretary
B.Bus, FCIS, FCPA, F.Fin, MAICD
Mr Gregory has over 25 years experience in the provision of company secretarial and business administration services, for both listed and unlisted companies, in a variety of industries, including banking and insurance.
Within the resources industry Mr Gregory has over 10 years experience in the role of company secretary for both exploration and producing companies in the coal, base metals, mineral sands and oil and gas sectors.
