The PEL90 Kiwi Block is a sub-block located on the western border of PEL90, adjacent to, and down-dip from, the Keleary oil field lying on the northern margin of the Cooper Basin.
Cooper Energy has participated in one exploration well in PEL90:
- Kiwi-1 in November 2003
This well discovered gas in the Callamurra formation. This gas is presently considered sub-commercial and, as such, no reserves are carried by Cooper Energy.

The Colonus prospect, down dip to the east of the Keleary oil field, has been identified as the next likely drilling candidate in the Kiwi Block.
